Keep your guests fed and happy with the delicious Baby Shower Food Ideas which we have shown on this site. They're pretty easy to make and include ideas for both food and drinks. Make this shower memorable for the guests and the mother.
Flap Jacks
This recipe will make about 16 flap jacks Ingredients
6 oz (1½ sticks) of butter
6 oz of light brown sugar
8 oz of oat flakes
Pinch of Salt
you will also need
a shallow cake pan approximately 8 inches by 12 inches
Cooking Instructions
Begin by warming and beating the butter. Then, in a bowl, mix together the sugar, the oats and the salt. Now stir in the butter.
Next, tip the mixture into a greased shallow jelly pan and press together, then smooth the surface with a knife. Now stand the pan on a baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes at 375°F.
When the flap jack is cooked remove the pan from the oven and leave to stand for a few minutes. Then whilst still warm cut into about 16 squares or fingers. After this leave the flap jacks in the pan until they are cold.
These flap jacks are easy and inexpensive to make and are ideal for baby shower parties, or in fact at anytime.
