Baskets plus boxes - including mailing, gift and storage boxes - make a good basis for a baby shower table centerpiece. Here's a few ideas on how to fill and make an adorable and useful baby shower centerpiece, and a great baby shower gift too!

1. Line a basket or box with a soft towel, receiving blanket or tissue paper, and fill with essential little baby items - such as baby powder, lotion, and shampoo, a teething ring, lullaby CD, rattle, bib or washcloth, socks or booties, a rubber ducky or a cute soft toy.

2. Line a box or basket with tissue paper and fill with a selection of treats specially selected just for mommy (and daddy). Goodies might include gourmet cookies, chocolates, truffles, coffee, cheese and crackers.

3. Put a dish with a piece of oasis (florist's foam) in a basket. Then arrange fresh or silk flowers in the oasis. Alternatively put a potted plant with saucer into the basket.

After you have filled your basket or box simply decorate with ribbons or balloons, or wrap in cellophane and close with a twist tie and a pretty ribbon bow.
